Clay takes us to the site of Fort Dilts in southwest North Dakota. Fort Dilts was a hastily-made sod fort built in September 1864 by an 80-wagon party of would-be gold miners to fend off attacks by the Lakota. However, there are more perspectives to the story that should be considered.
